| Our attorneys are fully prepared to assist clients with handling a current employee-relations issue, investigating charges of discrimination, or establishing and implementing preventative employment measures. McLeod's employment law practice includes negotiating and litigating equal employment claims for corporations and senior executives, including claims based on race and age discrimination, and sexual harassment. We also regularly counsel and advise clients on compliance and disciplinary and termination issues, and draft and interpret corporate documents, including employment and consulting agreements, non-compete agreements, termination agreements, privacy and proprietary compliance agreements, employment handbooks, and related personnel policies. We also draft and counsel and advise clients on severance agreements. We have guided clients through internal investigations and have represented clients at informal hearings mandated by the clients' internal procedures. We also have represented clients in proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
We keep abreast of developments in employment law and related fields and counsel clients on needed revisions in employment policies and proper implementation of new laws. Some related areas in which we have counseled clients include the implications of the Patriots Act, the New Hire Reporting Law, and military leave laws.
